What is the Venice Food & Wine Festival?
A three-day immersive, epicurean experience hosted at the JW Marriott Venice showcasing Italian cuisine, wine and spirits — with a focus on the local Veneto tradition.
You will experience access to internationally-celebrated chefs and wine & spirit experts including:

When & where is it happening?
The Festival is taking place between May 3 to 6, 2018, at the JW Marriott Venice Resort and Spa, located on the private island of Isola delle Rose – just a short boat ride away from Venice’s historic St. Mark’s Square.
All events will take place on the private island, and Festival Accommodation can also be purchased at the JW Marriott Venice Resort and Spa.
Travel & Transfers
How do I get there?
A complimentary boat will transfer you directly from the Marco Polo International Airport to our private island. Your return boat transfer is included in your Festival Accommodation if you are staying at the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa.
Please advise if you are arriving into Venice by train or alternative means of transport so we can assist with arranging appropriate transfers to the island.
If you are staying at alternative accommodation in Venice, you can either take a private boat taxi to the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, or utilize the complimentary hotel shuttle from St Mark’s.
How do I confirm my transfer?
You transfer will be confirmed once we have your flight details. Please ensure that these are detailed in your account on the Festival Website no later than, April 2, 2018.
When are tickets on sale?
An exclusive pre-sale for American Express® Card Members will be available January 2, 2018 – February 09, 2018 .
General ticket sales opens on February 10, 2018.
Are there different types of Festival tickets for purchase?
Festival Accommodation and Festival Event tickets are both available at Purchase tickets.

What is included in Festival Accommodation?
- Overnight accommodations
- Daily breakfast for two at Cucina Restaurant
- Return boat transfer from Marco Polo International Airport to the hotel
- Festival Event Tickets for two to the Venice Food & Wine Festival Opening Reception and the Festival Concert
- Three-night required stay (Thursday through Saturday nights)
What else is happening and how do I get Event Tickets?
A collection of tastings, demonstrations and dining experiences hosted by our culinary experts, over the course of three days. For full details, please visit: Schedule
Tickets for these events can be purchased or added to your booking at any time. Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be purchased here: Purchase tickets
Can I buy tickets on the day?
Yes – although they are subject to availability.
How many events can I attend?
You can attend as many events as you wish and all Festival Event Tickets are priced individually, per person – please make sure you check your bookings to ensure no clashes or overlaps. No refunds or exchanges.
Do I have to stay at the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa?
No. If you are staying elsewhere in Venice – individual tickets for all events will be available via Purchase tickets
Transfers to and from the island are not provided within individual Festival Event Ticket prices. Speak to your hotel’s concierge to arrange a private transfer. Please visit Location for further details.
Alternatively, the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa does provide a complimentary shuttle service. In house guests will have priority over spaces on the shuttle service.
When do I receive my tickets?
You will need to create an account on the booking section of the website which will outline your Festival Accommodation and Festival Event Tickets that are purchased. These will also be emailed to your provided email account.
You can print these out yourself at home, or visit the Venice Food & Wine Festival HQ on site for assistance with ticket printing.

What if I need to cancel an event?
We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.

How do I find out about events taking place over the weekend?

What is included in my individual Festival Event Tickets?
Any food and drink served at the respective event you have purchased is included in the event price. Festival Event Tickets are priced per person.
What time will the events start?
Please refer to the schedule for the full listing of event start times. Please visit: Schedule.
Can I book a table/specific seating?
All events are either unallocated seating or allocated by Festival staff – we are unable to take specific table requests. Festival Events are designed for our guests to meet other festival attendees.
Will I need to pay additional money for food and beverage?
There is food and beverage provided during ticketed Festival Events, however this may not constitute a meal during demonstrations, and tastings.
Are other restaurants or food outlets open at the festival to purchase meals?
Yes – the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa has a number of outlets open for purchase of food and beverage outside of pre purchased Festival Events. These include:-
- Cucina – Breakfast Daily 7.00 am – 11.00 am. Included in Festival Accommodation purchase
- Sagra Rooftop Restaurant – Lunch Served Daily 11.30 am – 6.00 pm- Dinner Served Daily: 6.00 pm – 11.30 pm. All costs for Sagra will be charged back to your room, or settled at time of dining.
- Sagra Poolside Bar – Open Daily 9.00 am – 12.00 am. All costs for Sagra Poolside will be charged back to your room, or settled at time of dining.
- Dispensa – Deli & Café open daily 6.15 am – 5.00 pm. All costs for Dispensa will be charged back to your room, or settled at time of dining.
- Rose Lounge Bar – 11.00 am – 12.00 pm. All costs for Rose Lounge Bar will be charged back to your room, or settled at time of dining.
Will there be ATM facilities on the Island?
Yes – there is an ATM machine located in the hotel lobby
Is the Festival wheelchair accessible?
The hotel and shuttle boat is equipped with all the necessary equipment for travelling with a wheelchair and all the buildings on the island have ramps. You can also reserve one of our accessible rooms or suites, please note this on your Festival Accommodation booking. Some of the events may have limitations due to the set up of the venue. What language will be spoken at the Festival?
All Venice Food & Wine Festival staff and events will be in English
Can I leave the island?
Transfers can be arranged directly with the hotel concierge and there is a regular shuttle service between the island and St Mark’s Square.

Are children permitted?
Venice Food & Wine Festival is an over 18 year event
Is there wi-fi service in the resort?
Yes – we offer complimentary WiFi in all public areas for guests and there will be a festival log in for individual Festival Event Ticket holders.
Will the event be cancelled if it rains?
Venice Food & Wine Festival will take place rain or shine.
Can I extend my stay beyond the event dates?
Yes – if you are planning to extend pre or post the Festival dates, there is an option to add this into the Festival Accommodation purchase information. The JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa concierge team will be in touch to organize the booking.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?
We will make every attempt to account for dietary requests. However please note that the demonstrations/ complimentary Festival events may feature a set menu.
Cancellation of talent?
JW Marriott withholds the right to change, alter or cancel any of the events and/or talent at any time.
Will the event be filmed/photographed?
Yes, please be advised that photographs/video will be taken at the event for use on JW Marriott channels. By entering this event, you consent to the use of your image and likeness.
